A life of writing, a love of writing
In the same way a moth is drawn to the light, I cannot resist the call of the word.
Ever since my first piece of prose appeared in my school magazine when I was eight years old, my passion for writing has never dulled. With an insatiable desire to investigate and an unquenchable inquisitive nature, I combine my love of writing with my fact-finding skills to produce the copy that will meet your needs.
I have worked with a number of magazines, both local and national including The Nursing Standard and Dorset Life as well as several online publications. I am used to carrying out interviews with a wide range of personalities and trades from the Dragon’s Den Duncan Bannatyne to a Dorset guide dog puppy trainer.
When I’m not writing for clients or magazines, I enjoy creating humorous poetry and children’s adventure stories and within this sphere I form part of the team who run a Dorset based poetry group encouraging local writers to perform in front of a live audience.
I also write one-off poetry commissions for clients celebrating special occasions including engagements, weddings, christenings, new baby, work retirement and birthdays.
My childhood was spent in different parts of the country from a small Devon market town to the stomping ground of Robin Hood. There followed a working life in the City until we decided to move our young family down to the beautiful Jurassic coast.
The blend of rural and urban life, bright lights and sleepy coves has mingled the clamorous with the quiet and the energising with the peaceful giving me a vision that goes beyond the obvious. I am astute and observant with an understanding of what people want and I deliver an exceptional level of service throughout.
